Radio jock Mark Pilgrim has had a rough couple of weeks after receiving treatment for a collapsed lung.

The star is battling stage 4 lung cancer.

Taking to his Instagram timeline he shared a snap of himself in high spirits.

“At two hospitals today. To all the doctors and nurses helping me on the journey to recovery: thank you. It's been a rough couple of weeks and there’s still a few bumps. One day at a time. One foot in front of the other,” he posted.

Earlier this month, Mark found himself having to explain why he was making his cancer treatment journey public.

He opened up about why he was sharing his medical updates on social media.

“Someone posted, asking why I’m revealing my personal health journey on social media, suggesting I should rather keep it to myself.

“Well, here’s one of the reasons I journal my cancer journey online, and it’s summed up in this message I received a while back from a follower: “I didn’t want to get out of bed today. I read your post ... and stood up.”

Jeremy Mansfield made his first social media appearance after revealing his cancer was now terminal. He, however, cancelled a planned live Zoom session with his fans after being trolled on social media.

“As his friends, we can't allow a situation where someone might take that opportunity to be cruel. As you can see, he is frail and we won't risk him getting hurt emotionally while he is suffering physically,” said his friend and former colleague Samantha Cowen.
