Rapper Nasty C has opened up about the beef between AKA and Cassper Nyovest that almost broke the hip-hop industry.

In a recent interview on podcast The Episode, Nasty was asked about making music with both rappers.

“They’re like, ‘What’s it like having songs with both these guys?' I said, 'Yo, the track with Cassper and Anatii was dope because it was like we were just vibing. It was at a hotel. We were just vibing.”

“Then with AKA there was a little bit of tension ... like what are we doing, are we rapping?” he said, describing producing a song with the artist.

The Black and White hitmaker said his wish to make a song with AKA without any tension was granted when they collaborated on Lemons (Lemonade).

“I was like I wish one day we can just make a fun song and then there it goes, now we have it,” he said.

AKA said he now harboured no hard feelings for his former arch-nemesis Nyovest.

He had a sit-down on The Sobering Podcast in September and said he regretted the way he handled things during their beef.

“You know, I look back now and I’m not proud of moments like that [slapping Cassper]. Now that I’m a bit older and I’ve gone through some sh*t in my life I’m actually not proud of it. Also, I’m not proud of swearing at his parents and I owe them an apology,” he added.
