After a successful run of his Indoor Cape Town tour, J'Something is expected to do things bigger and better in Durban.
The singer completed his almost two-year-long 10-track mixtape early this year and has been showcasing the project live to an indoor audience.
“I started working on this project at the beginning of lockdown. After years of touring, performing, and sharing music with people, to being told that entertainment was the least essential craft.
"As a professional, a talented, hardworking artist who had put their whole life into their craft, this was the most hurtful thing to be told,” J’Something shared with TshisaLIVE.
The tour moves to the Izulu Theatre at Sibaya Casino on November 25 and December 2.
“That is why Indoor is very close to my heart; it kept my fire burning through the lockdown, gave me direction and purpose in my craft. And now that it’s finally ready, I can’t wait to share it with the world.”
The entertainment industry was hit hard by the pandemic and J'Something is grateful to be able to fulfil his passion again.
The extra time has also allowed the singer to ponder his self-discovery journey.
“We are constantly discovering who we are and who we could be ... the trip that I am on is trying to figure out who it is that I am, who it is that I was born to be, without any man-made boxes. We have so many boxes that stop us from being who we were made to be ... it's been a lonely journey because I have nothing to reference it to ... I'm getting older and I'm feeling more. I'm becoming a lot more emotionally in touch.”
