Actress and musician Simz Ngema has told other moms to stop comparing themselves to other women in their post-partum journey.

Two years into motherhood, Simz showed herself some love and said she had loads of patience for her body and is taking her journey at her own pace.

Taking to her Instagram timeline she shared a snap of herself in the pool.

“Dear New mum, take your time with your body. You carried a whole human being. It’s OK to fall, as long as you don’t stay down. A little commitment and discipline can take you far. Stop comparing yourself to other people, it’s been 2 years and I’m still working on my body, stay in your lane and love the body you are in,” she wrote.

In her comments some women shared their stories.

“Also, new moms need to stop pressurising themselves and learn to be patient and extend as much grace to themselves as they do to others you look gorgeous mama,” wrote one.

“I needed to hear this. I gained just over 20kg during my pregnancy and it is exactly 2 months today since the C-section and I only managed to shed off 10kg,” wrote another.

Weight loss is a personal journey and LaConco is a recent celeb to share about hers.

Her good news was short-lived because she had to defend herself. She dismissed claims she lied about how her body really looks.

She posted a snap showing off her “new and improved” body, but people filled her comment section saying she didn’t look like the picture in real life and claimed she was probably wearing a corset.

“Ladies hi. Please keep it in your mind that my doctors have worked on what I’m blessed with. My body has been enhanced with lipo otherwise our structures are not the same. I have invested first in my body. Lipo was the last tick on my list,” she wrote.

She denied she was wearing a corset in the clip she shared on her TikTok that went viral on other social media platforms.
