Model and influencer Kim Jayde wants y'all to stay woke when you buy sneakers, because traps are everywhere.

The former MTV Base presenter took to her Twitter timeline and shared the price range for certain brands.

“Let me help you out. No Air Force ones cost R800. No Jordans cost R1,200. No resellers will sell three Js for the price of two. If you see this advertised, they’re probably fake. Stay safe in these streets kids, it's a trap. Stay woke.”

In her mentions tweeps were thankful for her tips.

“Thanks for this. I always see ads pop up on Insta & Twitter. Definitely fake and/or a scam.”

The media personality launched a YouTube show Kickin It With Kim Jayde a few years ago.

“As much as it is a show that brings together sneaker lovers, the conversations are very wide and vast. Season one was crazy. We had the most epic guests from all over the globe. In season two I’m definitely localising Blxckie, Costa Titch, Shekinah, and DJ Doo Wop,” she said, naming a few of the guests who will appear on the show.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE at the time, she said her show was set to be “bigger and better”. She’s been working tirelessly to make sure of that.

“It’s a lot of pre-production. I’ve been in pre-production for the past three months. I script it, direct it, produce it, I host it and I cast it. With this season I wanted to make sure we have better gear, better equipment and a bigger crew.”
