Musician and actor Stoan Seate seemingly picked the wrong day to criticise the EFF.
Stoan charted the Twitter trends list after he tweeted “fu*k the EFF” on the day of its national shutdown.
In his comments section musician and EFF politician Ringo Mandlingozi expressed his shock at the Bongo Maffin member's tweet.
“Aw Stoan. I thought load-shedding was your problem as well. I thought you can see the majority of black people are still living in squalor. I thought their pain was your pain as well. What has EFF done to black people that you have to swear it that much? Why so much self-hate?,” said Ringo
EFF MP Naledi Chirwa was livid and took a at the musician's acting.
“A little tender in the North West makes you swear at us for no reason? F**k you le wena Stoan. Ebile you can’t act.”
The Wife actor also received backlash from tweeps who were disappointed by his sentiments.
“Stoan, you and Nhlanhla Lux are bunch of clowns who have been rented by the ANC corrupt government. You really don't care about black folks, There's high unemployment, crime and the ANC thugs are benefiting from Eskom,” wrote one.
Taking to his own timeline Stoan shared dancing GIFs.
“Hey hey career what what nxim,” he tweeted.
EFF spokesperson Sinawo Tambo told TimesLIVE they were pleased with the turnout of supporters at Church Square in Pretoria.
“We are very impressed by the turnout of people coming out at midnight when the shutdown started all over the country.”
