Media personality Thando Thabethe didn't take kindly to Dr Nandipha Magudumana's giggles when she appeared in court on Tuesday.

Taking to her Twitter timeline Thando quoted a tweet with a clip of the celebrity aesthetics doctor “on the stand”.

“What on earth is so funny, what is she smiling and laughing about?” she wrote.

Actor and presenter Siv Ngesi also expressed his feelings towards the seemingly popular doctor who's a hit on the Twitter streets.

“Sick and tired of seeing this woman’s face! All you’re all talking about is her hair, makeup, beauty and her wearing Nike! Pretty privilege is next level.”

Nandipha and her “Facebook rapist” and murderer lover Thabo Bester appeared before the Bloemfontein magistrate's court on Tuesday.

The pair appeared virtually.

Her prison looks have been front and centre since she was arrested, with some baffled at why she looks so prim and proper.

The department of correctional services said an accused who has not been sentenced has access to their belongings before they appear in court.

This extends to hair salon services in prison run by inmates, part of training programmes.

“There are accredited skills development programmes in the correctional centres that help inmates to acquire skills that will make them employable or self-employed,” the department's spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo told SABC News.

Nandipha faces charges of aiding and abetting escape, violation of bodies and fraud.

The Sunday Times reported earlier that weeks before Bester’s scam in which he “burnt to death” in his prison cell, the doctor allegedly stole three unidentified bodies from Free State mortuaries.
