Kgomotso Christopher gets a nod from Safta

The Safta nominees have been announced and Kgomotso Christopher is beaming with pride after she scored a nomination in the Best Actress in a Telenovela category,

The actress told TshisaLIVE her nomination for the Saftas came as a sweet surprise.

“It's a huge honour to be nominated for Legacy season 2. We are a show that had two seasons and, perhaps the viewers will remember, it's a show that is not coming back on M-Net. I was nominated last year in the same category for season 1. I am grateful the work is acknowledged. We are happy that whatever work was done in the two seasons has been acknowledged in the Safta nominations for this year.”

AKA and Costa Titch score Afrimma nominations

Late rappers AKA and Costa Titch have been nominated for the 10th African Muzik Magazine Awards (Afrimma) which celebrate African musicians.

Khosi Twala “home safe” after car crash

Khosi Twala is grateful for a second chance at life after a bad car crash.

Prayers for the Big Brother Titans season 1 winner mounted on social media after she was reportedly involved in a crash with two other former contestants in the competition, Marvin Achi and Mmeli Khumalo.

The reality TV star and fitness enthusiast took to her timeline assuring her followers she is home safely.

“I can attest that miracles do happen. Thank you all for including me in your prayers. #HomeSafe,” she wrote

Amakipkip apologises to Forbes and Megacy for AKA tribute T-shirt faux pas

Amakipkip, a local streetwear brand, apologised to the Forbes family and The Megacy for their decision to design and sell AKA merchandise without obtaining consent from the late rapper's family. 

“We want to address a recent situation that has sparked concern and distress in our community. We extend our deepest apologies for hurt caused by our recent release of a tribute T-shirt for the late rapper AKA without obtaining consent from the family. Our intention was never to cause offence, but rather to pay homage to AKA’s legacy and seek justice.”
