Cassper Nyovest has finally announced the release date for his anticipated seventh album Solomon

The Tito Mboweni hit maker shared his album cover which was shot at the St John’s Apostolic Church at Tlokwe (formerly known as Potchefstroom) on his socials and he caused quite a buzz about his offering.

“My seventh studio album 'Solomon' will drop on September 15. Sorry for the wait,” he wrote on his Instagram and X timelines

In his comment section, fans were excited about the music they were going to hear from the rapper.

“Now this is a super dope cover. I’m anticipating collaborations with SA icons like you did with Ntate Tshepo Thola,” wrote director and actor Kagiso Medupe.

“Please don’t make the mistake of mixing Jesus with cussing. Choose one path. It never ends well for those who do that. This is a great opportunity to make a real change and fully follow God on His biblical terms not yours,” said another social media user.

Cassper has six albums under his belt.

  • Tsholofelo (2014)
  • Refiloe (2015)
  • Thuto (2017)
  • Sweet and Short (2018)
  • A.M.N (Any Minute Now) (2020)
  • Sweet and Short 2.0 (2021)

In April the rapper announced the album was being mastered overseas and has  been giving monthly updates, dropping hints until his final announcement.

“The album getting mixed now in LA. I need that crisp world-class knock! This s**t better bang,” he posted.

Cassper had planned to release the album a month ago, but had to move back the date.

“I’m dropping in July. I have got two campaign bags I have to grab, then we [are] going straight into the album. I wish I could drop [the] album music sooner, but these bags are important. It’s two dope, meaningful songs that will hold us until we get lit. July, we bang until,” he said.
