Cassper Nyovest reminisced about his first body of work by sharing a clip of the late legendary rapper ProKid.

Linda “ProKid” Mkhize died in 2018 after suffering a seizure at the age of 37.

The rappers recorded a song together called Isinkwa .

''My first studio album Tsholofelo dropped today nine years ago. Here’s a clip of the Legendary ProKid and I in studio with Ganja making one of the songs on the best-selling South African hip hop album of all time. Any favourites on the album? #TsholofeloTurns9 #freetsholofelo3stjuly,'' he wrote.

Cassper has been hinting about a new album for a while. What his fans know is the album is called Solomon.

He previously told his fans he had no plans to release singles and wanted the whole album to drop at once.

“This album is perfect. I might not drop a single. I might just drop the whole project so it’s received in context. I don’t want any confusion so the song that is dropping before the album isn’t a single. It’s a campaign. It’s a dope song but it’s not the sound of the album.”

Cassper has six albums under his belt.

  • Tsholofelo (2014)
  • Refiloe (2015)
  • Thuto (2017)
  • Sweet and Short (2018)
  • A.M.N (Any Minute Now) (2020)
  • Sweet and Short 2.0 (2021)

Earlier this year a Twitter user urged Cassper to come back harder in the rap game.

'This year I'm going to need you to take it back to the top. I mean the top in this rap s**t. It's high time you reclaim that spot,” tweeted the fan.

“Nah, I’ve done my thing. If there’s guys who still don’t rate me, it’s on them. No more points to prove, raps, music, hits, money, business, whatever man. I’m that dude FR overall. Those who don’t see it yet will never ever see it and that’s OK. Next chapter,” Cassper replied.
