Pearl Thusi has finally addressed what seemed like an elephant in the room in the eyes of people who have admired her friendship with DJ Zinhle from afar.
In a recent episode of DJ Fresh's WAW (What a Week) podcast Pearl said there was no bad blood between them, adding what is happening between them is natural.
“Zinhle and I have always been friends. I consider Zinhle to be a sister, to be honest, and I have three sisters. There have been many times when I've had a sister where we don't speak for half a year, or a long time, just to give each other peace because we can't seem to find some sort of equilibrium ... We're adults, we're growing, we're evolving, so, sometimes we're going to have moments we're not agreeing on things.”
She explained the 'change' in their relationship was brought on by their growth.
“I must say that our lives have evolved. There was a time you would see us together because we were living together, then she moved out. Now she's married, she has another child ... she's been through so much. She's building an empire. Here I am making sure that the empire is growing in the little way I can as well,” she said.

Pearl said they would always be in each other's lives.
The pair last addressed the rumour of a friendship break-up in 2022 when a clip of them at a function went viral on socials.
However, Pearl came out to say she and Zee were good.
Taking to Twitter, Zinhle set the record straight on what was happening in the video.
“I need to clear things up. Pearl & I had a great time & on the video you saw, I was gesturing to Brandon, whom I was playing a set with, to come & select the song cause we were using his USBs.
“Also. Why would Pearl smile when she walked away if I was being mean to her? Please stop vilifying me ... STOP!”
