Mpumelelo spoke candidly about starting a family during his sit-down on The Venting Podcast, where he revealed he had lost babies in the past due to miscarriages.
“I have a small child that is growing, and now I will get another one ... There were others that died through a miscarriage,” he said.
The reality TV star spoke on his decision to follow in his father Musa Mseleku's footsteps by having two girlfriends, saying he understood polygamy was not about money but he was making sure he could afford more than one.
“We have a lot of girlfriends and then there would be one you choose as a woman you could take home to introduce to the family. You can't just have one girlfriend and make that girl your wife only for that person to betray you. You have to date a lot of women, then choose,” he said.
“I love women. I would be lying if I said my father convinced me into being a polygamist. If I was doing it for my father, I would not be able to continue doing it. I am still going to continue. I won't say how many women I plan to have, but they are more than my father has.”

Mpumelelo Mseleku is beaming with pride as his little family keeps expanding.
Mpumelelo has two girlfriends — Vuyokazi Nxiweni and Tirelo, who are both pregnant.
The reality TV star and his first girlfriend Vuyokazi, with whom he shares a three-year-old daughter, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a picture of her growing baby bump.
This after the couple played out their pregnancy journey in the recent episodes of Mzansi Magic's Izingane Zes'thembu.
“We're growing the family. We know what we're on this earth for. I was advised to impregnate her again. My mom needs to relax. My father is going to be happy. This is technically our first child with Vuyokazi. Mhlophekazi is actually my parents' child. So this is our first child,” he said on the show.
Mpumelelo's father, Musa, thanked Vuyokazi for playing a part in extending the Mseleku legacy.
“Thank you so much for making sure that our surname lives forever. We love you MakaMhlophekazi and we will continue to pray and support you that you are part of this family,” he wrote, commenting on her post.
