Sannah Mchunu's character Zodwa has reached the end of the road on Gomora and she expressed her gratitude to her supporters.

In 2022 the actress bagged the DStv MVCA's Favourite Actress award and praise from script writer and actor Chris Q.

Taking to her Instagram timeline recently, the actress said her last day on set was sad and she asked for prayers so more doors would open for her.

"Thank you Seriti Flms for trusting me with this opportunity and ngyabonga kakhulu banganBami emakhaya for your support nanothando eningiphe lona. Zodwa’s day 134 of 134. Last day on set bandla kwaze kwabuhlungungicela ningikhulekise banganBam abahle kuvuleke eminye iminyango," she wrote.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE previously after she won the award, Sannah described herself as a natural actress. She expressed her sadness about the end of the telenovela.

“All things come to an end my friends. Let me take this opportunity to thank Seriti Production for blessing us with Gomora. We were treated very well, that's why our performance was very great.

“It's my first time working in a place where I put all my madness [and it was welcomed]. To the crew and cast from Gomora I say big things are yet to come. gates will open. It is painful to lose work but let us stay hopeful. The Lord who took us to Gomora will carry us and put us somewhere else. My friends and followers of Gomora, thank you so much for the support you have given us. I love you,” she wrote.

Chris Q took to Instagram in a lengthy post to give his fans a glimpse of what it was like to work with the actress and to gush over her talent.

“Personally, I want to thank you @sanamchunu7 for making me enjoy my job for more than a year. Writing a telenovela is extremely challenging for me because of my style of writing. But I absolutely enjoyed every second I spent writing Gomora because of you. And I’m confident the stellar new team under the leadership of the brilliant Chisanga will bring out your absolute best, which I believe is yet to come,” he wrote.
