While Burna Boy's fans in Mzansi were getting used to the idea of seeing the Nigerian superstar later than initially announced, he dropped another bomb announcing the show has been completely cancelled.

Before cancelling, the Nigerian superstar was expected to kickstart his Burna Boy After Tour at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on September 23, but the show was later postponed to December 16.

While it remains unclear why the concert was cancelled, on Tuesday, Khanya PR announced their withdrawal from the Burna Boy Concert Presented by Ternary Media Group

"We hereby wish to announce that Khanya PR and Media Solutions has, after much consideration, resolved to resign the account for the Burna Boy concert, which is scheduled to take place on 23 September 2023. We have, as an agency, elected to withdraw our services, which have up to now included PR and social media management.

“We have, following consideration of our business interests and working through the necessary legal advice, come to the conclusion that it is in the best interest of all parties concerned that we cease our role in the event. We wish the organisers well in their efforts and journey towards the concert and their future projects," read the statement.

After postponing, the Grammy award-winning star took to his Instagram stories on Wednesday to assure his fans he will come to South Africa soon.

“I was in SA last year and I had 100,000 of the most beautiful South Africans outside for me, so no dead agenda. I will see you again real soon South Africa. I love you,” he wrote.
