Musa Mseleku is beaming with pride after announcing the return of his family reality TV show Uthando Nes'thembu for season 7.

The show, set to premiere on January 25 on Mzansi Magic, gives his fans a glimpse into his journey in polygamy with his wives Busisiwe “MaCele” , Nokukhanya “Mayeni”, Thobile aka “MaKhumalo”, and Mbali aka “MaNgwabe”

“We are so humbled and blessed as the family, specially myself because I am the carrier of this vision,” Musa told TshisaLIVE.

UThando Nes'thembu is a very dynamic show in the sense that there is so much struggle for power. It is difficult to predict what will unfold but I can promise our viewers this is going to be the end of the beginning of UThando Nes'thembu. We are going to have a new phase of the show.”

While some social media scores tend to shun the family for their controversial opinions shared on the show, Musa said he loves how authentic his family has portrayed themselves on the show.

“I don’t have any regrets. Instead I am grateful for what has happened and I feel we have been able to touch difficult subjects within the family which I strongly believe we ordinarily would not have easily done,

“We have learned that those who love and believe in you can do so one 100% and those who hate you can do so 100%. The most beautiful lesson we have learned is that if you don’t put TV so much in your head there are many opportunities you can have. We have learned the reaction of people on social media is not the same when we meet them in person. But what has been carrying us through is to not view ourselves as celebrities but as a fortunate family that happens to be on TV.”

Last year, fans of the Mseleku family also got to follow the lives of his children in the show's spin-off Izingane Zes'thembu

“Seeing my children getting their own show has been fulfilling. I have realised we are growing and has given me a sense of hope and confirmation that we are the drivers of our destiny.”

Speaking about his goals for 2024, Musa said he has dedicated this year to being fully present with his family.

“This year is dedicated to my family because I have to nurture what I have started, so I need to spend most of the time with them. I won’t be going around to do talks because I believe we have had an impact. I will produce more shows because I believe we have more to offer.

“I want to concentrate on making sure my family becomes financially stable so we can have a living legacy. I am humbled with so much honour and respect I receive from our people.”
