In addition to being an actress and media personality, Pearl Thusi has added DJing to her growing resume.
The actress is beaming with pride after recently fulfilling her dream at The Makhelwane Festival in Soweto.
Taking to her timeline Pearl said this was a venture she has been working on for the past 10 years.
“God's timing is perfect. Delay is not denial. Trust in the process. I’ve made a dream come true. Whether this makes sense to you or not, worry about yourself and making your dreams come true. I pray this convinces you to never give up on what you want to achieve.
“I was always so worried about what everyone would say about this decision, for nearly a decade. Angisanandaba nezinkulumo zabantu. I practised until I couldn’t stand. I’m so happy because I overcame the fear of judgment, forgetting that only God has the right to judge me. I’m free.”
Pearl has DJ Zinhle and her other friends and family members rooting for her and has many plans in the pipeline for her career.
Speaking to Sunday Times, Pearl said she plans to launch a fashion label, is shooting an independent film, and is working on releasing music.
“I’m really excited with all the challenges I’m facing. I’m really excited about the next six months of my life and what it's going to look like.”
