"SABC blows R1.5bn" (yesterday) refers. Only in a place where the government believes its parastatal companies and its own departments are above the law is this possible.

South Africa has become a country that shines in incompetence and mismanagement.

It has become a daily reality that we don't have to ask how many state enterprises, government, provincial and city departments are run inefficiently and are out of control financially.

It is truly a sad state of affairs. Even more worrying is that very seldom someone gets chopped from their position and made accountable. To top it all, the failed managers get a handsome golden handshake. It's what disasters are made of.
