Dr. Adam Suliman of Excel Medical Centre sends in this poetic tribute to Nelson Mandela - Footprints in the sands of time?

Like footprints in the sands of time?
History will judge that no force or power
will erase these footprints  in the sands of time?

A son of the soil from Qunu,in flesh and blood,
left such footprints that the heavens will
forever shine over them

When we see these footprints and the paths
he has taken, let us each make our own
footprint alongside his or behind his,
so that mankind reaps the benefit

Like footprints in the sands of time?
your memory and your footprint that you left on earth
will never be  erased

Although your mortal body comes back to the soil
of mother earth,
may your soul rest in peace... in the highest heavens.
