Christmas comes early for more than 2‚000 N2 Gateway residents

Minister of Human Settlements Lindiwe Sisulu will on Thursday hand over more than 2‚000 title deeds to homeowners as well as new houses to some residents of the N2 Gateway Project in Cape Town. Launched in 2004 as a pilot project‚ the N2 Gateway Project is expected to deliver 23‚000 housing opportunities to more than 110‚000 households.To date‚ there are about 9‚015 title deeds registered for the N2 Gateway project. About 6‚384 title deeds have already been issued to beneficiaries.Sisulu will also receive over 100 Youth Brigade members recruited in Cape Town who have undergone soft skills training in the Free State. The Youth Brigade is a product of a Youth Accord signed in 2014 by the Department of Human Settlements and youth organisations.The minister is expected to be accompanied by Zou Kota-Fredericks‚ Deputy Minister of Human Settlements‚ and City of Cape Town Executive Mayor Patricia De Lille...
