Pietermaritzburg man survives after being struck by a train

A man believed to be 31 years of age narrowly escaped death after being struck by a train in the Pietermaritzburg area in Kwazulu-Natal on Sunday morning.

The man was fortunate to escape the ordeal with only minor injuries.The incident occurred in Morcom Road in the Prestbury area. ER24 paramedics and other services attended to the incident.“Upon arrival at the scene‚ paramedics found the man lying near the train tracks. Upon assessment it was found that he sustained minor injuries.“He was treated and transported to the hospital for further medical care.
