The new @Frits Pet Hotel and Daycare Centre in Cape Town, which opened on November 8, might be the largest in the world.

The 2,400sqm property, covering three floors, houses dogs and cats, and provides spa treatments, play areas, swimming pool sessions and a “catio” for felines.

“We contacted the Guinness book of records because we did some research and it seems that we are the largest pet hotel in the world, with cats and dogs under one roof,” said Yanic Klue, the owner of @Frits.

“It’s something that we are really proud of, to have a pet hotel in Cape Town that might be the biggest in the world.”

Klue said she named the hotel after her dog, Frits, who inspired her to create a place which would treat pets the way she wanted Frits to be treated.
