Eskom announced on Thursday that load-shedding would remain suspended until 4pm on Sunday.
Eskom first suspended load-shedding at 10pm on Thursday last week, initially for three days. It has been extending the suspension day-by-day since Monday.
In a statement on Thursday, Eskom said the suspension was made possible by sufficient generation capacity, including emergency reserves.
“Eskom will continue to monitor the power system and publish the week-ahead outlook on Sunday.“
