Lochte robbed in Rio

US Swimmer Ryan Lochte and three other team members were robbed by men posing as police.

Lochte was with fellow US swim team members Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen were coming back from a party at the French Olympic team hospitality when they were stopped by people posing as armed police.

They motioned them out of the taxi and took their wallets and other belongings, leaving the athletes unharmed.

Since the start of the Games in Rio, over 80 000 police and soldiers have been on patrol in Rio.
