The Blue Bulls announced the signing of Adriaan Strauss, Trevor Nyakane, Pieter Labuschagne, and Jamba Ulengo on Tuesday.

Strauss, Labuschagne, and Ulengo each signed two-year contracts with the franchise, while Nyakane signed a three-year deal, a statement said.

Bulls head coach Frans Ludeke said the new recruits would add depth to the squad.

"We believe all of these guys will contribute significantly to our effort and vision to be a team of excellence," Ludeke said.

"They will also add to potential shortcomings we have identified in our structures and I am looking forward to working with players of their calibre."

While Ulengo has started training with the team, the remaining trio would join the franchise in November.

For Strauss, the move is a return to the Blue Bulls franchise having left for the Cheetahs in 2006.

Springbok prop Nyakane, was first spotted as a youngster playing for the Limpopo Blue Bulls at Craven Week.

The Pretoria-born Labuschagne came through the ranks with the Cheetahs, having represented the union at schoolboy, junior, and senior level.

Ulengo was a regular on the IRB Sevens World Series circuit, having played for the Springbok Sevens team since 2012.

The Bulls have also extended the contracts of the Kriel twins, Dan and Jesse, until 2016.
