It seems those rumours about Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune moving to another team are not true.

Khune appears to not have any intentions of leaving Naturena as he feels that there are no greener pastures and wants to win silverware with Amakhosi, his agent said Dan Lichman is quoted as saying in the media.

“Given that Chiefs’ proposal only came in recently, I doubt that anything will get done this week,” said Dan Lichman, Khune’s agent on Soccer Laduma this week.

“Itu is a big player for Chiefs - he’s fit, playing games and wants to lead them to trophies this season.”

Khune  posted a picture on Instagram with the words: “Khune wethu akayi ndawo (Our Khune is not going anywhere)”.

He also captioned the pic: “I’m Forever Grateful for the #LOVE&SUPPORT I get from my people.”

With only just over an hour before the South African transfer window closes, indications and expectations are that he will sign for another deal with the current PSL runaway leaders.
