Television: Take a television, from the luxury Swiss group, add 28kg of 18-carat rose gold, 72 diamonds and alligator skin and you get the Supreme Rose Edition, available at a cool $2.3-million (R16.2-million).

House

India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani, chairman of conglomerate Reliance Industries, is living in a $1-billion skyscraper in Mumbai with his wife, three children and 600 servants.

The 27-storey building includes a six-floor garage, three helicopter pads and a 50-seat cinema, and has more floor space than the Palace of Versailles.

Soap

Plank, a producer of yoga-themed products, sells the world's most expensive soap, Cor. Ingredients include silver, which acts as an antibacterial agent. A 120g bar of Cor will set you back $125 (R880).

Sushi

For his next birthday bash, Sushi King Kenny Kunene should consider flying in Filipino chef Angelito Araneta, who specialises in extravagant food. This year, he created the world's most expensive sushi with a price tag of about 91800 pesos (R14900). Each of the five pieces was covered with a leaf of edible gold and garnished with a 0.2 carat diamond.

Yacht

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich added the $1.2-billion Eclipse to his collection of toys, which include English Premier League football club Chelsea.

The 170m yacht reportedly has two helipads, 11 guest cabins, two swimming pools and a mini-submarine that can dive up to 50m underwater.
