THE NEWSPAPERMAN

Perhaps no newspaper editor in recent history was as well-known, admired and acclaimed as Ben Bradlee, the legendary editor of The Washington Post who oversaw that paper’s dogged coverage of the Watergate scandal, which ultimately brought down President Richard Nixon. John Maggio’s respectful and extensive 2017 documentary offers a “warts and all” portrait of the man and his many memorable successes as well as his less celebrated editorial failures.
