And looking at the Spring/Summer 2016 collection, which hits H&M stores in SA today, we don’t think being a Beckham lookalike is a bad thing.
The range features basics for the modern man who wants to look effortlessly stylish, whether at work or at play. It includes everything from golf shirts and joggers to formal shirts and blazers, all with a minimal, chic design – think smart casual at its best. It’s affordable too, with prices ranging from R149 to R1,099.
While Beckham didn’t pen any of the designs himself, he was actively involved in deciding which garments made it into the final collection.
Here’s what he had to say about some of the pieces:
“Zip-up jackets and sweatshirts are becoming just as important (as suits), and can look just as sharp,” says Beckham.

“Some people think tailoring is formal and serious, but this suit will make you feel good as soon as you put it on. It’s really crisp, and looks dressed up while also being a bit more informal.”
“I’m really excited by this denim jacket. It’s got a real vintage work wear mood, and feels so great to wear.”
