1. PLAYFUL PRINTS
From blooming botanicals and checks at Thebe Magugu to oversized polka dots at Ka-Sha and abstract textures at Clive Rundle, prints ran the gamut on the runway this season. So, take your pick and don't forget to mix and match for optimal effect.
2. ACHROMATIC SHADES
Whether you opt for top-to-toe black like Antar Agni, full-on white like Fikile Sokhulu, a mix of the two like Wanda Lephoto, or a soft pop of pastel, as seen at Art Club & friends, the truth is, you can never go wrong with a little monochrome.
3. AIRY TEXTURES
With Clive Rundle's sheer printed kimonos and deconstructed layers and Amanda Laird Cherry's architecturally constructed tulle dresses, it is clear that masterfully layered, lightweight fabrication is a must for the season.
4. COLOUR THEORY
High-voltage bold hues are the easiest way to make a statement. Cindy Mfabe suggests bright "gen Z yellow", while crimson red persists at Rich Mnisi - both seeming like the highly favoured hues in the colour palette for the season.
5. COOL SUITING
Suits in shades of powder blue are the surprise wardrobe hero of the moment. With the suit trend still in full swing, this cool blue update is a must - Mmuso Maxwell, Thebe Magugu and Cindy Mfabe encourage us to follow suit.
