Think of these morsels of rawsomeness as a modern take on old-fashioned date balls. They keep for two weeks in the fridge, so mix up a big batch and pack a few for work every day.

Think of these morsels of rawsomeness as a modern take on old-fashioned date balls. They keep for two weeks in the fridge, so mix up a big batch and pack a few for work every day

Makes: 16

Difficulty: Easy, 30 minutes

Ingredients:

220g (1 cup) pitted dates

45ml (3 tbsp) organic peanut butter

60g ( cup) rolled oats

50g (¼ cup) raw chocolate or carob

Choice of coating:

White and black sesame seeds

Chia seeds

Linseeds

Raw cacao powder

Poppy seeds

Method:

1) Soak dates in hot water for 5 minutes, drain well and pulse with the peanut butter, oats and chocolate in a food processor until mixture comes together.

2) Wet your hands lightly and roll into 16 balls. Roll the balls into your choice of coating.

3) Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until set.
