New start after the final whistle for Dipsy Selolwane

The final whistle sometimes signals the beginning rather than the end.
It's the case when the final whistle is blown on a footballer's career and they have to start their new life after the beautiful game.
"The transition to this new world and new life isn't easy if you aren't prepared," said Dipsy Selolwane, the Botswana legend who played for SuperSport United and Santos among other teams. "The first day after I retired I was still asking myself what time training was. If you do something for 20 years and you are used to doing it, when it just stops, it's not easy to handle that.
"It's like a guy who has been in prison for 30 years and you release him out into the world. He doesn't know the internet, Twitter or Facebook. And those are just small things. How does he handle that?" Selolwane's transition into life after football was easy compared to some of his peers who went broke quickly after retiring...
