Local musician Yoav will be the supporting act when Tori Amos comes to South Africa in November.

Organisers confirmed that the one-man folk band will be opening for the platinum-selling US singer on her sold-out Night of Hunters SA tour.

This is not the first time that the muso has supported Amos on tour - he was the supporting act for her 2007 American Doll Posse world tour. He also supported Imogen Heap when she was in the country this year.

Yoav, born in Israel and raised in South Africa, has been met with critical acclaim for his contemporary folk sound and his multi-instrumental talents. His debut album, Charmed And Strange, was released in 2008.

Amos's latest album is titled Night of Hunters. She will perform in Johannesburg on 12, 13 and 14 November and in Cape Town on 17 November.
