"Boity has joined the cast of Rhythm City. She will play the role of Luscious Lu, a confident and fiesty radio presenter," e.tv publicist Joe Strydom said.

Joe said that although Boity's role would not be a permanent one, fans could expect to see her on screens often.
Boity said she was excited to step into a role that was different to the ones she usually played.
“I’ve always played sweet, innocent characters that people assume I am. This character is going to allow me to show people that I also have a b**chy side, just like everyone else," Boity said in a statement.
