Viewers were glued to reality show Yobe on Tuesday night as a young woman, asked the  show to help her get closure from her rapist who was also asking for forgiveness.

Betty explained that she was raped when she was just 13 years old and her life took a turn for the worst from there onwards. She detailed the hardships she endured during and after the ordeal and said she decided she wanted to confront her rapist so she could get closure.

Twitter was heartbroken as she told her story and were angered as the rapist asked for forgiveness from Betty. He explained that the then 13-year-old's tight pants had "tempted" him.

As a nation that is torn apart by femicide and rising rape statistics, Mzansi's Twitter decided not to even consider the rapist's apology.

Of course at the end of the day, it was Betty who needed to forgive her rapist for her to get closure and move on. However, the rest of the Twitter streets are just not willing to forgive rape.

Especially one of a 13-year-old raped for "wearing tight pants". Fam that's just ridiculous!

The rapist's mother was also deemed trash by Twitter, understandably so since it was revealed that she condoned the rape and even lied to protect her rapist son.
