Actress Lerato Mvelase has penned a heartfelt letter to women, encouraging them to take a stand against cheating and any other form of abuse.

Taking to Instagram, Lerato shared her thoughts on women gathering the strength to walk away.

"I encourage every woman married, in a long relationship, kids or not. Walk away from him if he cheats on you, makes you feel insecure by involving other women in any way that is not appropriate. On top of everything puts his hand on you."

Lerato said women in such relationships stayed because love makes women stay in such situations.

"I promise you as you stick around thinking you can help him, the good in you is stolen, your love dies, your warmth gets cold, the sparkle in your eyes disappears and your are left with a woman you can't recognize. You look in the mirror & you see a stranger."

Lerato said that being scared to be alone was not worth sacrificing the "queen" inside you.

I encourage every woman married,in a long relationship, kids or not. Walk away from him if he cheats on you, makes you feel insecure by involving other women in anyway that is not appropriate;on top of everything puts his hand on you.I know love makes one stay, makes one think he will change, makes one protect him by not exposing him, makes one think you can help him become better but I promise you.as you stick around thinking you can help him,the good in you is stolen, your love dies, your warmth gets cold, the sparkle in your eyes disappears and your are left with a woman you can't recognize. You look in the mirror &you see a stranger.Woman!!!fear of being alone is not worth the queen inside you.Walk away, pray for your strength and wisdom.Pray that you raise your children to be better than you(in education,in self love,in kindness and compassion and in being good &happy people).Use that time to take care of your body(gym and eat healthy)the physical is the easiest I promise you. Then take care of your mind, your mantra everyday must be about how beautiful you are,how intelligent you are, how strong you are and how you appreciate other women (because in an abusive relationship, where other women are involved you start disliking other women; FIGHT THIS DEMON)then target the hardest part, the spiritual: believing in the spirit is harder because you can't touch it and you can't see it. But,trust me GOD did not put you here to be a doormat or come second. You are a queen and therefore you deserve a king that will remind you of this everyday.Praying to GOD is hard sometimes but look at things like the sky,the ocean and the mountains and that will remind you of HIS presence. To us who believe e dlozini aswell, phahla mtane dlozi.Speak to your ancestors & remind them of who they are and who you are in them.watch the universe work with you.You will rise, you will stand strong on your feet and everything that is due to you will come back ten folds. I love you queens &thank you all for waking up everyday and doing your best & being good 2your children. Now we wait 4 r kings to come &claim us #blackgirlmagic #no #abuse #power #happysunday 📸 #izuluvideoshoot
