Having become scarce on socials and only reappearing to spread positive vibes,  singer and songwriter Lady Zamar has shared her state of mind, saying she's been liberated by the realisation she doesn't have to please anyone with her lifestyle.

Chatting to former rapper Slikour on Slikour OnLife, Lady Zamar opened up about how she has no time to waste on people-pleasing.

“I don't try to prove anything to everyone. I feel like it's such a waste of time. I have limited time on this earth and my job is not to make you believe, like, know and  understand me.”

The singer said her mission was to share her talent and the message in her heart.

Lady Zamar said her music career was a result of her feeling like she was never truly heard by the people around her.

In one of her messages of advice shared on the TL, the star asked her followers to show themselves compassion.

“Cut yourself some slack. No-one has had a chance to rehearse this life thing. We’re all doing it for the first time.”

The star often uses her Twitter platform to encourage others and share pearls of wisdom with her followers.

“Be mindful of what you say, how you say it and how you treat others. Being gentle and loving comes at no price to you.”
