Lee Thompson has been among the celebs who have had Mzansi concerned for their wellbeing.
In October, YOU Magazine reported that Lee, star of the first season of The Bachelor South Africa, was allegedly homeless and undergoing rehabilitation for the second time in August.
Lee had allegedly been living at a R300 a night guest house for two months earlier this year and was described as an alleged tenant from “hell” who often left his room unkempt and messy.
As concerns mounted on social media for the reality TV star and model, Lee made a social media comeback saying he wanted to address the rumours.
Lee said he would speak on his career, his mental health issues, and homelessness reports.
“From traumatic periods in my childhood, to schooling and professional rugby successes. To my international modelling and business successes, to my prior romantic relationships and experience on The Bachelor South Africa.
“To struggling with fame and media disinformation, to mental health issues and alcohol and drug addiction. To losing everything and suicide attempts, to becoming homeless and living on the streets.
“To my rehabilitation and recovery, to renewing my relationship with God and fighting my way back to the top. It will be worth the wait.” he said, thanking those who had loved and supported him “through thick and thin”.
Since October, Lee has remained mum on social media, refraining from posting.
Attempts by TshisaLIVE to obtain comment from Lee were unsuccessful at the time of publishing this article. An update will be included if received.
