Nandi led the masses in celebration of her hubby, Nomcebo Zikode and Wouter Kellerman's achievement when they won the Best Global Music Performance award for their collaboration Bayethe at the 65th Grammy Awards.
“The most inspiring is that no matter what he achieves, Zakes continues to remain humble, loving and kind-hearted. No matter what the accolade may be, the true essence of who he is and his character is what I celebrate most about him and enjoy,” Nandi told TshisaLIVE.
In a press release shared with TshisaLIVE, Zakes said he hopes this can prove to all young South Africans that anything is possible.
“This award is not just for us, it’s for everyone back home. This moment is testament to the fact that our dreams are valid and we can accomplish anything we set our minds on. I want every young kid in the ghetto in South Africa to dream big and believe we deserve to be recognised on the biggest stages in the world. Thank you to my team at IMG Africa, my collaborators Wouter Kellerman and Nomcebo Zikode, and everyone who has been supporting us along this journey.”

Zakes Bantwini said there is nothing he doesn't love about his wife Nandi Madida.
Taking to her Instagram timeline, Nandi shared a short clip of her husband gushing about her in an interview with podcaster Mac G.
“That woman is everything. I wish people knew how many fights and how much money that woman has lost in trying to push for that natural hair to fight for Africans,” he said.
Zakes recalled an incident where Nandi was in the running for an international endorsement, but because she expressed her views in a tweet and refused to delete it she lost the deal.
“To see that woman not being swayed by money, she can go somewhere motivate for free and leave a gig that is supposed to pay her because it does not represent what she feels it represents. If something isn't pushing African and isn't pushing girls forward, she's not part of it, no matter how much you are going to pay her, " he said.
