Lebogang Mpyana had viewers glued to the screen when she starred in Mzansi Magic's Diep City.
The actress died on Wednesday after a short illness.
A statement shared by Lebogang's family on her timeline confirmed the tragic.
“We ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers in this time of bereavement. Memorial service and funeral details will follow,” read the statement.
Lebogang was popularly known for her portrayal of Khelina on DiepCity.
She is remembered for her undeniable talent.
"Lebogang Mpanya was an extraordinary individual who fearlessly pushed boundaries, defying expectations and inspiring many with her talent. Her portrayal of 'Khelina' touched the lives of countless viewers, capturing hearts and minds with her remarkable performances. Through her character, she became a symbol of strength, resilience, and determination, transcending barriers and shattering stereotypes," read a statement shared by Black Brrain pictures.
"Lebogang was an amazing actress and a cosumate professional who I had the pleasure of directing on our show Diepcity, and other campaigns. She will be sorely missed and may her soul rest in peace," said creative director at Black Brain Pictures, Mandla N.
