Toyota reveals 'refreshed' Auris – we fail to really spot the difference

Every other day a car gets a facelift. Or a makeover. Or a midlife refresh – whatever you want to call it. Now while some are noticeable, perhaps even relevant, others are not. As is the case with this Toyota Auris. Today we got a press release listing all sorts of changes. Thing is though when you actually put the 'old' car next to the 'new' car, well, it kind of results in some serious head scratching. Just take a look...

So there you have it. Doppelgängers. If you're a real Toyota anorak then you might – big emphasis on might – notice the absence of some chrome trim here and there. Or the subtle substitution of cloth for leather. Other than that one is red and the other blue. Well, at least in my eyes anyway. – Thomas Falkiner
