My first foray into the world of touch screen technology was with the Samsung Galaxy S II.

MY FIRST foray into the world of touch screen technology was with the Samsung Galaxy S II.

The first thing I liked about this phone is the very large, very sharp screen that is much more resistant to finger and smudge marks than I thought was possible. The screen is 10.9cm long, which makes it the biggest screen on any phone.

A new technology initiated in the phone, the Super AMOLED Plus, enhances the clarity of images.

The screen size doesn't come at the expense of the phone's thinness. It does, however, make the phone a little ungainly in the jeans pocket.

The minute I turned on the phone , a request about whether I wanted it to automatically link to my Facebook account came up.

I clicked "yes" and the phone instantly uploaded all the information I've collected over the past few years on Facebook onto my phone. Its Social Hub brought together my contacts from Facebook and Twitter.

This Android phone comes equipped with Google applications, including Google Maps 5.0, Gmail, YouTube, Google Calendar and Google Talk.

The phone is also capable of Full HD video recording, and the camera has spectacular features.

The Galaxy S II is like an all-access pass to 100 innovations to make your life better and easier.

THE GOOD

Everything but the bad.

THE BAD

It's too big for the pocket.

RATE: 9/10
