Her tweet about leaving Auckland yesterday set South African fans into a delirium but pop superstar Rihanna's management is keeping her arrival details top secret.

The latest speculation is that the Diamonds singer will arrive tomorrow.

The Times looks at everything about pop's "It" girl ahead of her Sunday show at Joburg's FNB Stadium and her Wednesday night performance at Cape Town Stadium.

REVIEWS:

  • The New Zealand Herald (Auckland): "Thankfully, the Barbados-bred pop princess proved worth the wait.

"Yes, Rihanna was late.

"Rihanna has a little bit of the 'whatevs' about her these days - perhaps reflecting her status as a genuine pop superstar at the ripe old age of 25."

  • The Sydney Morning Herald: "One word: flawless. Despite all the horror stories dogging the 25-year-old Barbadian pop princess's Australian shows over the past two weeks - 'Was she intoxicated?' 'Did she lip-synch?' 'Was she disrespectful to fans in pitching up late?' - there was nothing to fault Rihanna's spectacular effort.

"Yes, there was a bit of bad language and crotch-grabbing at the start but overall she was a reminder of how women can be confidently in charge of their own sexuality, without resorting to the moronic posturing favoured by Miley Cyrus in recent times."

  • GMA News (Manila, Philippines): "The stage was for the most part, bare.

"No overwhelming props onstage, no impressive light displays or spectacular pyrotechnics."

"Though her back-up vocals were minimal and she improvised her dance moves during instrumentals, she managed to transform the concert into one giant, pumped-up club - helped along by the lack of audience banter and song and band introductions.

"Never let the lack of spectacle fool you. The finale and the concert itself was Rihanna, raw - and this is what everyone there came for."

SPOTTED AT HER CONCERTS

  • Twickenham Stadium, London: Model Cara Delevigne, Aussie singer Kylie Minogue and tennis star Maria Sharapova.

  • Allphones Arena, Sydney: Singer Jason Derulo
  • Padang, Singapore: Justin Bieber
