Photographer Moeletsi Mabe captures the last hours of existence for the South African Press Association, which closed this week after operating for 76 years.

SAPA implemented the board of directors' decision to shut down all editorial operations, permanently. This marks the end of a remarkable journey for this wire service through South Africa's history, during which millions upon millions of news items have been issued through SAPA since its first news report on 1 July 1938.
