Hip-hop artist AKA has dusted off his royal regalia and shown why he wears the crown as the "baddest" with three SA Hip-Hop Awards wins, a 2016 Kora All Africa Music Awards nomination, and a new electronics range out this week. The rapper, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, has been dogged this year by what has been dubbed "South Africa's biggest beef in hip-hop" with nemesis Cassper Nyovest. After Nyovest's #FillUpTheDome concert, at which the Mama I Made It rapper made history as the first local artist to fill the 20000-seat venue, fans and foes alike eagerly awaited the self-proclaimed Supa Mega's next move. The Baddest hitmaker reclaimed his throne this week as the most valuable artist at the hip-hop awards for the fourth consecutive year.AKA also walked away with the best digital sales and milestone awards, and his The Saga, a collaboration with Anatii, took the best collaboration and best video awards at the ceremony at Gold Reef City."Meanwhile, the Levels rapper has also been working with South African headphone and earphone company Rocka on his personalised range of electronics titled #3RDWRLDBOSS. The range consists of headphones, ear buds and wifi speakers and will be available at Musica and other noteworthy electronic stores starting this week. The music accessory company has said that collaborating with AKA has been “a match made in heaven”. “Not only is AKA Southern Africa’s hottest hip hop artist, his status as the #3rdWrldBoss perfectly represents ROCKA’s urban African youth market”, said Rocka."..
