A 68-year-old granny who lost five of her 10 children and seven grandchildren to HIV/Aids will be among 1,500 "gogos" who will take to the streets of Durban on Saturday to highlight the challenges they face as "second parents".The grandmothers are hoping the march, organised by the Hillcrest Aids Centre Trust, will bring to light the problems they face as sole breadwinners. The granny gathering will begin on the Durban beachfront and end at the International Convention Centre, where an official statement will be presented to UNAids executive director Michel Sidibé.Granny Nokuthula Vezi (not her real name), of Molweni, is keen to raise awareness about preventing HIV infection."Once my children died one by one from Aids, I did all I could to tell people to learn their status."I still raise awareness and tell people to get tested and take their medication, and I go with them to the clinic," the pensioner said. ..
