Supersport United put up a gusty fight to snatch a valuable away point at former continental champions TP Mazembe Englebert of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the African Confederation Cup in Lubumbashi yesterday.

A 2-2 draw means they share in a three-way tie at the top of the Group D standings with Mazembe and Horoya of Guinea.

But with two home games to come in the group, Supersport will now be confident of their ability to advance to the quarterfinals.

Mazembe scored twice in the space of five minutes midway through the first half only to see Supersport strike back twice to level matters.
