THE cabinet approved a treaty with the Democratic Republic of Congo to begin development of the Grand Inga hydroelectric project, which will cost about $100-billion, generate 40000MW and supply about 2500MW to SA.

ITALTILE lifted trading profit 23% to R751-million in the year to June. The tiles and sanitaryware group declared a final cash dividend of 10c a share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 19c, up 19% from a year ago.
