App lets you track your farts in real time on your phone

New gas-reading tech tablet will give insight on what food causes gassy activity

Those who say there's an app for everything may be proven right thanks to a small capsule-like sensor developed by Kourosh Kalantar-Zadeh of RMIT University and Peter Gibson of Monash University that lets you track your farts on your phone in real time.
These scientists from Australia are committed to finding out what's going on inside your body but instead of shrinking themselves, they've found a way to shrink gas-reading tech to fit inside a vitamin-sized tablet (26mm x 9.8mm).
They've already started human trials for what they hope will be ground-breaking new tech in the field of monitoring gut microbiomes and investigating the conditions in each section of your gut.
They'll also be able to get practical insights on what food causes gassy activity. You've got to love science that's both amusing and useful...
