What is the easiest way to get from Gatwick Airport to Heathrow Airport in London? I would prefer not to catch the train into central London. - Joe van der Spuy

The easiest way to travel between airports is to book a limousine or saloon car, which will be waiting for you at Gatwick and take you straight to Heathrow. I did a trial booking (www.londonairporttransport.co.uk) for a saloon car and the rate offered was £61 (about R750). A bus service would be cheaper, but that involves waiting time and luggage issues. Bus operator National Express (www.nationalexpress.com) runs 100 times a day between Heathrow and Gatwick. The one-way fare is £25 (£40 return). Journey time is around 1.5 hours and the minimum connection time is three hours.
