Mampara of the week: Thabiso Setona

11 February 2018 - 00:00 By HOGARTH

FROM HEROES TO ZERO
Let us remember some of our great freedom fighters of the past. Mandela, who co-founded Umkhonto weSizwe. Chris Hani, who never lived to see his dreams come true. We can now add Thabiso Setona to this long roll of honour.
The ANC branch secretary demonstrated his unwavering commitment to guerrilla warfare by kicking a middle-aged mother in the back outside Luthuli House this week. Sergeant Setona, what courage you demonstrated to take on a defenceless 52-year-old woman. Especially since she was unarmed and lying on the ground. Not to mention the military skills required to kick her with such brute force.
Please come forward and receive your award.
The ceremony will be held at the bottom of a lake, where you'll feel right at home with all the other pond scum...
